According to Chinese online recruitment platform Zhaopin’s 2025 Robot Industry Talent Development Report,Watch Paradise Z Online job postings in China’s humanoid robotics sector jumped 409% year over year in the first five months of 2025, while the number of job seekers rose by 396%. Robotics algorithm engineers commanded the highest average monthly salary at 25,368 yuan (about $3,500). A professional in the humanoid robotics industry told a Yicai reporter that work in the field spans multiple disciplines — including mechanics, electronics, artificial intelligence and software — making interdisciplinary skills a key hiring criterion. “There’s a talent gap in core R&D roles such as algorithm engineers, mechanical R&D engineers and software developers,” the professional said.
