Scott R. Brunton, shared his story with The Hollywood Reporterand state that, in 1981, Takei attempted to undress and inappropriately touch the former actor and model after the two ended an evening together with drinks at Takei's condo.

The two apparently became friendly in 1981 when they met in a bar and swapped numbers. Brunton was in a relationship at the time, but he and Takei connected after Brunton's difficult breakup. Takei, Brunton said, "was a great ear. He was very good about me spilling my heart on my sleeve."

After an evening out together, he said, the two men returned to Takei's condo for a drink. Brunton recalled having two drinks, the second of which left him feeling "very disoriented and dizzy." Takei allegedly told him to sit down, which Brunton did: "[I] leaned my head back and I must have passed out."

Brunton told THR that he later woke up to Takei's unwanted advance.

The next thing I remember I was coming to and he had my pants down around my ankles and he was groping my crotch and trying to get my underwear off and feeling me up at the same time, trying to get his hands down my underwear. I came to and said, 'What are you doing?!' I said, 'I don't want to do this.' He goes, 'You need to relax. I am just trying to make you comfortable. Get comfortable.' And I said, 'No. I don't want to do this.' And I pushed him off and he said, 'OK, fine.' And I said I am going to go and he said, 'If you feel you must. You're in no condition to drive.' I said, 'I don't care I want to go.' So I managed to get my pants up and compose myself and I was just shocked. I walked out and went to my car until I felt well enough to drive home, and that was that.

To confirm Brunton's account, THRspoke with four of his "longtime friends," who all said he had confided in them about it years ago.

Takei, who was traveling in Asia when the news first broke, was not able to issue a statement through his rep on Friday night. He did take to Twitter on Saturday morning, however, issuing an emphatic denial in a short thread.
