This is the third SNLepisode to be written, filmed, and edited remotely by the cast and crew since measures to prevent coronavirus shuttered production in March.
Previous virtual episodes aired on April 11 and April 25, and featured celebrity guests including Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Miley Cyrus, and more. At-home episodes have included sketches about Zoom meetings and dating struggles, as well as familiar segments like "What's Up With That" and "Weekend Update."
No host or musical guest has been announced.
