Shang-Chi and Secret Confessions (2025) Tubong Lugaw Episode 47the Legend of the Ten Ringshad its world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, finally inducting the titular hero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after repeated pandemic-induced delays. If the first reactions are anything to go by, it was well worth the wait.
Set after 2019's Avengers: Endgame, the movie follows martial artist Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) as he confronts his past and complicated familial relationships — and kicks a ton of butt along the way. The first Marvel superhero film with an Asian lead, Shang-Chihas been highly anticipated since development was initially announced at the end of 2018.
First reactions to Shang-Chiare rolling in now, and it appears to have earned gushing, universal praise across the board. The overwhelming consensus is that Shang-Chi is a "phenomenal" film filled with heart, humour, and "jaw dropping action" — and not just by Marvel's standards.
It sounds exactly like the fun, action-packed blockbuster we could all use right now. If you weren't already hyped for Shang-Chi, now would be a good time to start.
