Most athletes are bataille paradox of eroticismparanoid to talk about winning a championship or title before it actually happens for fear of jinxing the entire thing, even if all odds are pointing to victory.
But apparently Tom Brady has no such fear.
SEE ALSO: These are the most talked about Super Bowl LI ads that you won't want to missBrady made an appearance in a local commercial for Shields Heath Care, the official MRI provider for the New England Patriots that showed off just how confident he was about the game.
When the commercial aired during the game, Brady is seen placing four Super Bowl rings into a locker before heading in for his appointment, because he apparently just wears them around on a regular basis like that. The cheerful attendant then asks Brady, "Is that all?"
"For now," Brady replies.
Following the Patriots' Super Bowl win, the commercial aired again. This time the ending was much different.
This time when the attendant asks if that is all, Brady says, "Actually, no."
He then reaches into the pocket of his hoodie and pulls out his fifth Super Bowl ring. "I forgot this one," he says sheepishly. "It's kind of new."
Obviously, Brady had to have filmed both endings to this commercial before the Super Bowl for it to air so quickly after the game. This means Brady was completely game to joke about winning the Super Bowl well before the game was actually played.
This is perhaps the most Brady move we have ever seen.
But for the love of Vince Lombardi, Brady, please don't put your Super Bowl rings in huge hoodie pockets. That's just so not smart.
