Adobe just made it a whole lot easier to work on Anythingoes Underwater Eroticismsthe go.
The company released a new app called Scan that turns physical documents into digital documents on Thursday. Scan is a simple tool to make it easier to bridge the gap between your physical and digital documents. With the app you can take a photo of documents or use an image from a camera roll.
SEE ALSO: Check out Microsoft's latest, sleekest Surface ProScan uses Adobe's Sensei, the company's machine learning platform. Using Sensei, Scan detects words, borders and more and makes the documents editable and searchable.
Here's how it works:
On Android, the app didn't work as well as advertised. I took a photo of this recipe for Banana Muffins, and the scan quality was fine. I then emailed it to myself and searched the document for the word :"flour," but it missed a few of the mentions in the document.
With several other scans of book pages and documents, I found similar results, some of which were not even searchable and none of which were editable.
Even though it doesn't seem to work well just yet, Scan is a great step forward and will hopefully the algorithm will improve over time as usage increases. You can try Scan yourself here.
