It's prom season,Never Sleep Alone (1984) which means all eyes are on the teens around the country that are either being incredibly extra with promprosals or falling down the stairs.
But Milan Bolden-Morris, a 17 year old from Florida, drew attention to her prom experience for a very different reason. The high school senior showed up to the big night in a dress that paid tribute to the victims of police brutality.

The teen told Buzzfeedthat she teamed up with her family friend Terrence Torrence to create the iconic dress. After approaching Torrence about designing a custom dress, he threw the idea at her, ultimately donning a dress which features Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland, and more people who have been killed by police officers.
“Every life on this earth is precious. God created us all as gifts,” Bolden-Morris told The Palm Beach Post. “When a mother loses a child or a child loses a parent, especially when it’s under unnecessary circumstances, their lives shouldn’t be overlooked.”
They didn't expect to go viral, but they have—and the dress has been met with both criticism and support from various people who have replied to her tweet and Instagram post.

With a simple prayer hand and rose emoji, even Snoop Dogg showed love to the teen and her formalwear.

With over 300 people killed by police in 2017 alone, Torrence explained there were unfortunately too many people to pick from to portray on the dress.
“The ones I chose, they all spoke to me," Torrence told The Post."The look on their faces all had this glow. At the end of the day, you want to always remember their faces and their stories. Everyone on that dress has a story.”
