Warning: Contains spoilers for Stranger Things3.
Oh,Sisters Slave (2019) Alexei. You were far too innocent and pure for this cruel world.
Stranger ThingsSeason 3 has now been out for a good few days since landing on Netflix on July 4, and plenty of people (ourselves included) have already binge-watched their way through the entire thing.
In the aftermath, a number of winners and losers have emerged.
And although he may have met a tragic end in the show, lovably cheery Russian scientist Alexei has firmly cemented his title of hero in the internet's eyes.
A quick trip to the r/StrangerThings subreddit is enough to tell you his memory is alive and well.
Yep, Alexei is now a beloved meme.
Fans simply cannot get enough of how adorable our courageous Starcourt scientist is.
Alexei's request for a slurpee was obviously a favourite moment.
As was the bond he develops with Murray, a.k.a. Bald Eagle.
All in all, Alexei was just a pretty awesome dude, and one of the true heroes of Season 3.
Frankly, we're still not over what happened to him.
For what it's worth, the actor who plays Alexei, Alec Utgoff, is on Instagram, and he seems to be enjoying all the responses to his ill-fated, celebrated character.
SEE ALSO: The tiny detail in the 'Stranger Things 3' finale you may have missedUtgoff posted a message of thanks over the weekend thanking fans for their support. "I was really touched that you enjoyed our arc and resonated with the character," he wrote.
