Not long after becoming a household name thanks to Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope993 Archives Carrie Fisher hosted the comedy show Saturday Night Live -- and it was absolutely hilarious.

"I felt a little awkward coming out in my Princess Leia costume because it might seem like I’m exploiting Star Wars,but I went along with because if I came out as myself who would recognise me?" Fisher says.
"I really didn't know what to do, I felt real weird so I went to the one person who I now I can trust, someone who's been always there in the past. My good friend Obi Wan Kenobi."
She then proceeds to tell a joke involving Star Warscharacters Bantha and Jabba the Hutt -- and featuring the voice of Kenobi himself.
"Trust your feelings Carrie, let yourself go, it's a funny joke," says the Kenobi voice.
"Okay. You're the force." Fisher replies.
The episode then takes a leap into a 1950s beach party attended by a lecherous Bill Murray. 22-year-old Fisher makes fun of her character's iconic costume.
She then launches into a musical number about being a girl from outer space.
"I'm a teenager from outer space trying to make it in the human race. Although I come from another world I'm really a very nice girl!"
Carrie Fisher really was a truly unique talent.
