Zoë Kravitz's directorial debut is making waves. And we expect even more ripples to erupt once the twisted thriller expands its streaming release next month. After two months of streaming on MGM+, it'll soon be available for new audiences to watch on Prime Video.

What is Blink Twiceabout?

Blink Twicefollows cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) who meets dashing tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) at a fundraising gala and is invited to join him and his friends on a vacation at his private island. When her bestie Jess (Alia Shawkat), who accompanies her on the trip, goes missing, the other guests don't remember her being there at all. What follows is an investigation that leads to "surprising alliances, dark conspiracies, and heart-wrenching revelations."

Is Blink Twiceworth watching?

Despite a slow theatrical release, grossing about $46.3 million against a $20 million production budget, Blink Twiceopened to largely positive reviews. That just goes to show that box office numbers don't tell the whole story. You could have a massive theatrical release, but if audiences don't enjoy it, what's the point?

With a 75 percent critic rating and 70 percent audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Blink Twiceis certainly worth a watch. Puchko pointed out that its plot and aesthetic details are influenced by 2019's Ready or Notand there are visual nods to I Spit on Your Grave. "But Kravitz uses familiar pieces to build her foundation, then crafts a freshly exhilarating adventure that feels of its time. Rather than an imitator of these movies, it feels a kindred spirit, using its screams to deliver a message that is achingly timeless."

She ultimately concludes: "Blink Twiceis a knockout."

How to watch Blink Twiceat home

Less than a month after its theatrical debut, Blink Twiceofficially made its video-on-demand debut on sites like Prime Video and Fandango at Home (Vudu). You can rent it from any of the retailers below for 30 days. Just remember: Once you start watching a rental, you'll only have 48 hours to finish before you lose access.

You're also able to purchase the film from the same retailers and add it to your digital library. If you prefer to stream the film instead, keep reading to learn more.

Following a similar streaming schedule as fellow Amazon MGM Studios film Challengers, Blink Twicemade its streaming debut on MGM+ on Nov. 21and will expand its streaming release to Prime Video on Jan. 21. If you're a not currently a Prime Video subscriber, then yes! You can sign up for a 30-day free trial to Amazon Prime to test the waters if you're brand new or returning after some time away. During your trial period, you'll still have full access to Prime perks, including Prime Video. That means you can watch Blink Twicefor free if you plan your trial around its streaming release on the service.

If you don't want or need all of the extra perks of being a Prime member, you can simply subscribe to Prime Video as a standalone service instead for just $8.99 per month. That's $6 per month cheaper than getting a full membership.

Naturally, Amazon makes it unnecessarily complicated to sign up for Prime Video on its own. When you go to sign up for a subscription, you'll have tot select the option to "see more plans" or "change plans" and navigate to the option for Prime Video on its own. Like a full Prime membership, you can still cancel whenever you want with no strings attached.

Another way you can save some money is by paying for an annual Prime membership instead of monthly. You'll enjoy the perks fo being a Prime member, including access to Prime Video, for an entire year. If you're between the ages of 18 and 24 or you're a college student, you can score a free six-month trial to Prime and a half-priced subscription.
