The My Sister in law Reluctantly Climbed on TopSteam Halloween Sale has kicked off for the spookiest week of the year, bringing discounts on dozens of dark and disturbing games to get you in the Halloween spirit.
The 2017 Steam Halloween Sale is running until Nov. 1. Some of the biggest, spookiest games of the past couple years have received some major discounts, including arguably one of the best games of the year: Resident Evil 7.

As the seventh main entry in a series that has lost quite a bit of luster since 2005's Resident Evil 4, RE7needed to do something different and do it well. That's exactly what it did, moving into a first-person perspective for the first time and pitting you against a small but terrifying and captivating cast of murderous characters to create one of the scariest and well-made Resident Evilgames across the series' 21 year history.
Less scary and more deeply disturbing, Insideputs you in control of a young boy who wanders into a creepy city teeming with zombie-like citizens and scientists performing horrible experiments on people. Insideis gripping and beautiful in its simplicity, similar to its predecessor Limbo(which is also on sale).
The Walking Deadepisodic series by Telltale Games is all about the choices you make as you try to survive in the zombie-filled world of The Walking Dead. Each decision you make has an impact on yourself and your fellow survivors, making each playthrough a uniquely emotional and terrifying experience.
Not every dark game needs to have jump scares to make it spooky. Darkest Dungeonbuilds a beautifully twisted world filled with gothic imagery and themes, testing your will as you progress and deal with more psychological terrors like hunger, darkness, and disease.
Friday the 13th: The Gameis the interactive embodiment of the Friday the 13thmovie franchise, pitting nearly defenseless campers against the nearly unstoppable killing machine Jason. Players can control either side, making this an exceptionally difficult and uniquely scary homage to one of the most popular horror franchises of all time, with the added bonus of being playable with friends.
That's just the tip of the iceberg for this year's Steam Halloween Sale. There are a bunch of other horror games available for low prices, including horror VR games and even horror movies.
If scary things aren't your thing, the sale also includes a bunch of non-horror games at discounted prices.
