In a post inspired by Trump's slogan and titled "Make Europe Great Again", subscribers were urged to "show some support for other politicians trying to wake Europe up" and do "some more meme magic".
It followed with a list of 11 links to new subreddits dedicated to leaders of the EU's far-right parties, including France's National Front (FN) leader Marine Le Pen; Nigel Farage, the outgoing leader of the Ukip party and prominent Leave politician in the European Union referendum campaign in Britain; Geert Wilders, a Dutch far-right politician who is leader of the Party for Freedom, and Norbert Hofer, Austrian member of the Freedom Party of Austria.
Some of them will take part in key elections next year.
In Le Pen's subreddit, a post in English welcomes the "veterans" of /r/The_Donald with a World War I poster in which a smiley face and Pepe The Frog have been Photoshopped on the faces of the American and French soldiers.
The post lists a series of actions the subscribers can take to help the FN politician ahead of the French presidential elections next year. Among them is "make fun of Francois Hollande" described as "literally Jeb Bush", "make photoshops with smug Marine [Le Pen]", "translate in French the memes that worked well in the U.S...for instance "crooked HillarySarkozy for Prison".
The alt-right Reddit reaction could probably be expected, following the euphoria among far-right populist movement at the victory of Donald Trump, a candidate who they regard as an example to follow in the continent.
Marine Le Pen, who has always been vocal in her support of Trump, was among the first European politicians to congratulate him, claiming his results heralded a new world.
