HOW many years did you say??
After a quick trip to the loo to check for grey hairs, we did some research and realised that J.K. Rowling's debut novel was indeed first published in the UK during the summer of 1997 by Bloomsbury.
At the exhibit, fans old and young can expect to find an array of magical objects on display, from wizarding books, manuscripts, and objects, to original materials from J.K. Rowling's personal archives.
Jamie Andrews, Head of Culture and Learning at the British Library, said in a press release: “We at the British Library are thrilled to be working with J.K. Rowling and with Bloomsbury to mark the twentieth anniversary of Harry Potter, and to inspire fans with the magic of our own British Library collections.”
The exhibit is set to open Oct. 20, 2017, and will run until Feb. 18, 2018. Tickets will be made available beginning in spring 2017.
