Scholastic released images of the new covers on Tuesday, and they're nothing short of striking.

Rowling’s iconic series," Selznick said in January. "I am thrilled to play a part in this exciting 20th anniversary celebration and look forward to meeting Harry Potter fans and readers across the country."
Selznick's covers are in black and white, a stark contrast to Mary Grandpré's iconic original American covers. When placed side-by-side, the seven new covers make a mural bursting with your favorite characters and other details from the books.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stonefirst released in the United States on June 26, 1998, when it had already been out in the U.K. for almost a year (that's why this anniversary just keeps going). Around the 10-year anniversary, Scholastic released new paperback covers designed by Kazu Kibiushi which form a picture of Hogwarts when you buy the box set.
20 years after its publication, Harry Potter is going strong as ever, with a new Fantastic Beastsfilm due in November, two theme parks, and two long-running theatrical productions (we never forget you, Puffs). There's a certain comfort between all that to be able to go to the book store and spend some money on a new book, which is how this whole story began.
The new Harry Potter covers are available for pre-order and will release on June 26.
